Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by chronic and recurrent inflammatory reactions of the intestinal mucosa. In this presentation Prof Frank Ruemmele explains that patients with Crohn’s Disease exhibit dysregulation in the intestinal microbiome. Enteral nutrition is now widely used because it can release the inflammatory symptoms of patients in a couple of day. It's known as a safer treatment as other treatments and with high anti-inflammatory effects.
